Welcome to Fueling a Fit Fam!
The goal of my blog is to help others create better eating habits for themselves and their families. Also, to prove that eating healthy can be easy, and taste great at the same time!
I have four children who are my little taste testers. They are a little too honest at times! They motivate me to create a healthy lifestyle in our home, and my hope is they can continue to do so for the rest of their lives.
I do my best to create recipes that are easy to make, using products that are easy to find and will be eaten by most. I try to avoid refined sugars and flour, but believe that anything homemade is better than store bought.

Hi, I’m Kristen. I grew up in Colorado where playing sports and being active was my life. My husband and I met in kindergarten and have been on quite the journey together. We are now living in Grand Junction, Colorado and absolutely LOVE it!
My husband and I fell in love in high school while running cross country and track. We even shared the basketball court together on occasion. Since then, we have loved intramural sports, running RAGNARS, hiking fourteeners, triathlons and pretty much anything else active you can think of.
I have always loved cooking. I remember when I left for college, the first thing I did was put a cook book together. It turns out you only eat Ramen your freshman year! Once I got married I really got into finding and creating meals. It wasn’t until I had kids that I decided I wanted to make our food as healthy as possible. I love feeding my family healthy, real food that we can all enjoy. I am hopeful that my husband and I can pass on our love of a healthy lifestyle to our kids.
